Happening in Sevier County: March 29 – April 5, 2026

Hello Sevier County Digest Readers,

Spring break energy is definitely here, and this week looks like a busy one across Sevierville, Pigeon Forge, and Gatlinburg. Dollywood is operating daily during most of this stretch, generally from 10:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. through April 2, then shifting to longer spring-break hours on April 3 and 4, before closing on Easter Sunday, April 5.

Crowds should stay elevated this week, especially in Pigeon Forge, with Dollywood drawing spring visitors and The Island continuing its Jurassic Adventure attraction through the season. Easter weekend events will also bring extra local traffic heading into April 4 and April 5.

Spring break for local kids, steady tourist traffic, Dollywood’s active spring schedule, and Easter weekend events all point to heavier movement across the area. It is not quite peak-summer madness, but it is definitely a week to leave early, use patience on the Parkway, and expect slowdowns near the major attractions.

What’s driving the crowd this week

Dollywood remains one of the biggest traffic drivers, with the park operating through the week and into the weekend. Family activity will also pick up around Easter events, including the Pigeon Forge Easter Egg Hunt at Wear Farm Park on Saturday, April 4.

That combination of spring break plus family events usually means busier roads in Pigeon Forge, especially near the Parkway, Teaster Lane, Veterans Boulevard, and the main attraction corridors.
